Child Safety Standards

RyeApp (“Rye”, “we”, “us”) is a social and community application for adults aged 18 and older. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

This document describes our published standards, prevention practices, in-app reporting tools, moderation process, and cooperation with authorities. It is intended to meet Google Play child safety standards for social and dating apps.

1. Zero tolerance

We prohibit all of the following on Rye, without exception:

• CSAM or any sexual content involving minors
• Grooming, solicitation, or sexualization of minors
• Sharing, requesting, or distributing exploitative material involving anyone under 18
• Accounts created by or operated on behalf of anyone under 18
• Using Rye to arrange contact with minors for sexual purposes
• Impersonating a minor or misrepresenting age to target minors

Violations result in immediate account suspension or permanent removal, preservation of relevant records as required by law, and reporting to appropriate regional and national authorities where legally required or appropriate.

2. Age requirement

• Rye is not directed to children and is not intended for users under 18.
• Users must be 18 or older to register and use the app.
• We remove accounts we identify or reasonably believe belong to minors.
• Coin shop products and digital purchases are classified for users 18+ in Google Play.

3. In-app reporting of child safety concerns

Rye provides in-app tools so any user can report child safety concerns for review:

• Posts — open a post → safety menu → Report child safety concern
• Profiles — open a user profile → safety menu → Report child safety concern
• Messages and photos in chat — open chat safety menu → Report child safety concern
• Block — users can block others immediately from the same safety menus

Reports are stored securely in our moderation systems (reported_posts, reported_users, reported_messages) with the reporter ID, subject ID, reason, and timestamp. Child-safety reports are prioritized for review.

4. Moderation and enforcement

When we receive a child safety report or detect a potential violation, we:

• Prioritize review of the reported content, account, and related activity
• Remove violating content and suspend or permanently ban offending accounts
• Preserve evidence and logs as needed for legal compliance and investigations
• Restrict further contact through block and account-level enforcement tools
• Escalate confirmed or suspected CSAM to the appropriate authorities

We also enforce community standards through server-side controls, user blocks, purchase fraud prevention, and Firebase App Check to reduce automated abuse of backend services.

5. Reporting to authorities

Rye complies with applicable child safety laws. When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM or CSAE on our service, we report to relevant regional and national authorities as required by law, which may include:

• United States — National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, where applicable
• Philippines — Philippine National Police - Women and Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC), Department of Justice, and other competent agencies
• Other regions — national or regional hotlines and law-enforcement bodies with jurisdiction over the user, content, or incident

We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement and may provide account, content, and log information when legally required.

6. Prevention practices

• 18+ product positioning in store listings and legal policies
• Email verification required before full use of paid and social features
• In-app report and block tools on posts, profiles, and messages
• Server-side coin and purchase controls to reduce fraud and abuse
• Identity verification workflow with restricted access to verification media
• Account deletion available in Profile for user-initiated removal
• Staff review of user reports with escalation path for child safety issues

7. Parent or guardian concerns

If you believe a minor is using Rye, or you have found content that exploits a child, report it in the app if possible and email us immediately at annincrcv@gmail.com with:

• Your relationship to the minor (if applicable)
• The reported username, post, or message details
• Screenshots or timestamps, if available
• Any urgent safety information

We treat child safety emails as urgent priority.
